1. Regular inspection and maintenance
It is recommended that the semi-trailer for transporting powder and granular materials should be maintained every 20,000 kilometers or every 3 months, including checking the oil, brake fluid, antifreeze and other fluid levels and replacing and adjusting them in time. The air filter, fuel filter and oil filter should also be replaced regularly to keep the engine in good working condition. At the same time, the pipeline filter of the trailer needs to be cleaned every 3 months to ensure the cleanliness of the pipeline to prevent damage to the ABS. After the semi-trailer is put into use for six months, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive vehicle inspection every year to check the damage and wear of the brake pads, shoe return springs, brake bushings, camshaft sleeves, brake shoe rollers, vehicle structures, axles and axle connection parts, etc. If there is any damage, it should be handled in time.

2. Maintenance of key components
Air compressor: Perform maintenance according to the instructions of the air compressor. The gear meshing and wear should be checked once a year, and it should not be overspeeded. If any abnormal noise is found during operation, the cause should be found out and eliminated in time. Check the operation meter frequently to see if it is working properly, so as to avoid over-speeding and damaging the air compressor and power take-off (specifically for powder tank vehicles). During the unloading operation, the air compressor must be operated correctly, such as adjusting the operating handle of the operating mechanism, adjusting the air compressor speed to about 900r/min, and stabilizing it2.
Power take-off: Always pay attention to regularly check its lubrication and operating conditions. If there is any abnormal sound, the cause should be found out and eliminated in time. The gear meshing and wear should be checked once a year, and it should not be overspeeded2.
Air circuit: The sealing condition should be checked frequently, and if there is any leakage, it should be eliminated in time; check the working condition of each valve frequently, and if it fails, it should be repaired or replaced; the safety valve is guaranteed to open at a pressure of 0.2Mpa, and the pressure in the tank must not exceed 0.2Mpa2.
3. Vehicle cleaning and internal environment maintenance
External cleaning: Keeping the appearance of the vehicle clean can prevent corrosion and fatigue and extend the service life of the vehicle. In the rainy season or after driving on complex roads, the car should be washed in time to clean the body and chassis.
 Internal cleaning: The owner should also regularly check the cleanliness of the interior of the vehicle, including the cab, dashboard, seats, etc. Regularly replacing the air conditioning filter and the deodorant in the car can also improve the comfort of the interior environment1.
4. Special equipment maintenance
ABS system
When welding the vehicle, the ABS power harness must be unplugged, otherwise the ECU will be damaged. When installing the wheel, the sensor should be pushed to the bottom first to ensure the gap between the sensor and the gear ring. Be careful when installing the wheel hub and do not install it rudely. Check whether the sensor connector is loose frequently. If it needs to be replaced, it cannot be inserted incorrectly. It is necessary to ensure that the air path and the sensor correspond one by one, and the brake air pipe on the same side corresponds to the air outlet on the same side of the combination valve. When maintaining the wheel hub, be careful not to damage the surface of the gear ring. If there is dust or oil on the surface of the gear ring, it needs to be cleaned, and the wheel speed sensor also needs to be cleaned. When washing the car, do not rinse the combination valve directly with water, otherwise it will cause ABS system failure. When emergency braking on slippery roads, there is no need to use continuous jogging, just full braking.
